Creating an Organisation

An organisation is your team's workspace on Stagebound. All your productions, performers, and team members live inside it. When you sign up for the first time, Stagebound will guide you straight to creating one.

Choosing a name

Pick a name that clearly identifies your company or team — for example, "Punchdrunk Casting" or "Atlantic Theater Company". This name appears in the sidebar, the org switcher, and in invitation emails sent to new members.

Choosing a URL slug

Your slug is the short identifier that forms your workspace URL:

app.stagebound.app/org/your-slug-here/

A few rules apply:

• Slugs must be unique across all Stagebound organisations
• Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed
• No spaces or special characters

For example, "Atlantic Theater Company" might become atlantic-theater or atc-casting. Choose something short and easy to remember — you'll be typing it occasionally.

Adding a logo

You can optionally upload an org logo during setup. The logo appears in the sidebar and in invitation emails sent to new members. You can also add or change the logo later from Settings > General.

After your org is created

You become the Owner of the new org automatically. From here, you can invite your team, create your first production, and start building your pipeline.

If you work across multiple companies, you can create additional organisations at any time from the org switcher in the top-left corner of the sidebar.
