Stagebound
Getting Started

Introduction

What is Stagebound and who is it for?

Stagebound is a casting management platform built for theater professionals. It gives casting directors and their teams a structured, collaborative workspace to run auditions, track performers, and make decisions — without the chaos that usually comes with the territory.

The problem with casting today

Most casting teams still run on a patchwork of tools that were never built for the job. Sign-in sheets at the door. Spreadsheets that only one person can edit. Notes scattered across emails, sticky notes, and personal notebooks. Performers who audition and never hear back because there was no system to track them.

When you're seeing dozens — sometimes hundreds — of performers across multiple audition days for a single production, that patchwork breaks down fast. Decisions get made in isolation. Information gets lost. Talented performers fall through the cracks.

What Stagebound does differently

Stagebound organises your casting process around a pipeline: a series of stages that each performer moves through as they progress from open call to offer. Your whole team sees the same board, takes notes in the same place, and makes decisions together.

At auditions, performers check in by scanning a QR code — no paper forms, no manual data entry. Their profile is created on the spot, and they appear in your pipeline immediately.

Who Stagebound is for

  • Casting directors who need to track performers across multiple audition rounds and make final decisions
  • Casting associates and assistants who manage the day-to-day logistics of auditions
  • Production companies that want a shared workspace for their entire casting team
  • Performers who want a smooth check-in experience and a place to keep their profile and materials current

Works on any device

Stagebound is a web application — no download required. It works on desktop, tablet, and mobile, so your team can access it from the audition room, the rehearsal space, or anywhere else.
